Hull Truck Apprentice Blog #3

We’re back, with our first blog post of the month! Last week, we had the lovely cast of Miss Nightingale with us for several days during the run of their show, and we met our new favourite person; Lenny the sausage dog, who we all fell head over heels in love with. If only we could have kept her as an office dog, or Hull Truck's official mascot…

Press and opening night for Miss Nightingale was on Tuesday 26th. We were all lucky enough to be invited, making this our first press event ever! ¾ of the apprentices came along for the show – me, Draya, and Harry – and we all had a fantastic time; Draya particularly loved the risqué soundtrack, and spent half of the show giggling away in her seat. I'm delighted that I got the chance to see it, and I thought both the story and the cast were fantastic.

Whilst Miss Nightingale did her thing in the main theatre, rehearsals for Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis continued upstairs, and we had a photographer in to capture the early stages of the show coming together. Speaking of MJCE, last week we launched our Try Something New campaign; this means that if you’re under 26 and you haven’t booked with us before, you can get yourself a free ticket to the show! There are 200 up for grabs, so what are you waiting for?

That’s all from us for this week. In our next entry, Technical Apprentice and part-time Viking James will be making an appearance to describe his job in a little more detail, and Harry might give us some input too (if we ask nicely enough). Bye for now!
