Hull Jazz Festival
Supertramp Saxophonist John Helliwell: Ever Open Door
with the Singh String Quartet and John Ellis (Hammond organ)
A truly memorable show awaits in the company of the great John Helliwell and his distinctive saxophone playing.
This stunning project includes new arrangements of Supertramp’s Ever Open Door (Richard Davies) and If Everyone Was Listening (Roger Hodgson) plus an eclectic mix of other tearjerkers, ballads and songs by the likes of Peter Gabriel, Paolo Fresu, Jim Scott and AE Housman, superbly arranged by Andy Scott.
The unique line up of saxophone, strings and the soulful Hammond plus John’s dry wit and insight promises a unique and intimate experience.
Please note that each show is limited to 100 people and it’s highly advisable to book early.
