Support Free Drama Workshops in Hull Primary Schools!

17 Mar 2026 | General News

Running from Tue 17 - Tue 24 March, the campaign offers a powerful incentive to give, every donation will be doubled for one week only! That means you can make twice the difference at no extra cost. Donations open and close at midday on both dates.

This campaign is focused on Local Youth Theatre, a programme making the arts more accessible to school children. 93% of primary school pupils are excluded from arts subjects due to funding, and with Hull currently ranked as the fourth most deprived local authority in England, many families face financial hardship and limited opportunities to get involved.

Your support will ensure no child is left behind. All proceeds raised will go towards the cost of running two free after-school youth theatre clubs in some of the city’s most disadvantaged neighbourhoods.

A teacher at St. Anthony's VC Academy said:

“Our learners loved the Youth Theatre Club, and we were amazed by their confidence and creativity in their piece. Parents were also very impressed with the increase in children's confidence and were so grateful that their children had this experience.”

Without early encouragement, talent can easily go undiscovered. By bringing drama directly into schools, this programme makes sure that every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.

If you believe creativity is a vital tool for empowerment and growth, not a luxury, please give at the right level for you today. You will open doors, spark imagination and build brighter futures for Hull’s next generation.
