We are delighted that with the support of partners Oughtred and Harrison IT Services, we have been able to create a new facility that is available for hire and as a drop in centre for the city's arts professionals and business users. The Oughtred and Harrison IT Services Suite provides office space for up to eight people. It has five PC workstations, white board and projector screen, and high speed building-wide WiFi. The room is fully accessible, with users benefiting from the Hull Truck Theatre café bar. Members of Hull’s creative community can use the space for free, subject to availability.
Janthi Mills-Ward, Executive Director at Hull Truck Theatre, says:
“We are very pleased to be working in partnership with Oughtred and Harrison IT Services to offer a creative space for small businesses to flourish. With its very own garden the Oughtred and Harrison IT Services Suite is the perfect base for growing businesses and artists, and an excellent example of arts and business working together to create new opportunities for our community.”
James Smith, Director of Oughtred and Harrison IT Services, says:
“Oughtred and Harrison IT Services are a great supporter of the arts and local charities and we welcomed the opportunity to sponsor Hull Truck Theatre before, during and after Hull UK City of Culture 2017. The Oughtred and Harrison IT Services Suite is a great resource in a fantastic location in the city centre. The room is a valuable asset to small businesses as it is fully equipped and can be booked for just the length of time required - whether that’s an hour or a week. There are excellent facilities on site including catering and a bar, and it’s only minutes away from the railway and bus stations.”
Alex Mitchell, Artistic Director of Hull Truck Theatre Supported Artists Silent Uproar, says:
"The Oughtred and Harrison Suite is a fantastic office facility and working environment. The suite is peaceful, comfortable, and just a door away from the lovely Hull Truck staff who are always willing to help."
