Hull Truck Theatre are excited to announce our reopening in the autumn with the Hull Jazz Festival from Thursday 12th November. The Hull Jazz Festival is a key part of our autumn season and we are really pleased that after 8 months of closure, we are able to work with long-term partners J Night to open the building with their exciting programme. Audience capacity will be smaller as we adhere to social distancing, but the programme and experience will still be the same great quality. However, we have also had to make the difficult decision to postpone our 2020 Christmas production of The Railway Children.

Hull Truck Theatre’s Live Screening of Peter Pan shows positive impact of the arts on the wellbeing of Care Home residents

On 23 December 2019 Hull Truck Theatre streamed the live performance of Peter Pan to patients and residents at Hull Royal Infirmary, Haworth Court Care Home and Alderson House Care Home. The aim of the project was to open up access to theatre to those who for health reasons could not physically attend a performance. In advance of the screening, the theatre also visited each venue, including the Elderly Care and Children’s Wards at HRI, to deliver storytelling and song sessions.
