Community Theatre Makers
Our Community Theatre Maker groups are for people in our local community, from all walks of life, to share their stories, engage with the excitement and creativity that goes hand-in-hand with making theatre.
ACT III is Hull Truck Theatre’s Community Theatre Makers group for over 55’s who have a love of the theatre. Throughout the term there are opportunities to meet industry professionals, work with a team of theatre professionals to experience the enjoyment of professionally led rehearsals, and be creative all while making lasting friendships.
ACT III meets on a Wednesday morning 10:00am until 13:00pm and there are three terms per year: September, January and April.
Full Fee: £50 (Per term, approx. 10 sessions)
Act III have performed their work in the Hull Truck Studio, recorded their own performance poetry and done site specific work elsewhere in Hull. Their most recent work was Are We There Yet?
Our ACT lll Community Theatre Makers groups is currently at full capacity but we are exploring ways to put on more groups. Inclusion Drama Group
Hull Truck Theatre’s Inclusion Drama Group works to enable adults with learning and physical disabilities to gain access to high-quality arts opportunities. Our team focuses on using nonverbal physical theatre to develop skills, build confidence and create quality art which reflects and celebrates their unique creativity.
Our Inclusion Group takes place on a Tuesday from 13:30pm to 14:30pm at Interact in Hull Truck Theatre.

Dancing with Parkinson’s by Tenfoot Dance
Dancing with Parkinson’s is literally that, a movement class designed and directed for people with Parkinson’s to move, dance and have fun. Participants are encouraged to bring a friend, carer or family member and the feedback collated is showing the class benefits all that attend, whether from a physical, cognitive or social perspective.
Classes are held at Hull Truck Theatre, Thursday mornings from 11:00 am to 12:15 pm. Class fees are £3.00 and Carers/ relatives are free.
