Buy tickets

Born to a Scottish mother and Nigerian father, Jackie Kay MBE was adopted by a white couple at birth and brought up in Glasgow. Jackie was named Scots Makar—the National Poet for Scotland in 2016, swiftly followed by the publication of her collection Bantam.

Peter Knaggs lives in Hull and works at the university as a note taker: when not taking notes for undergraduates, he is a noticing notebook filler. He makes these notes into poems, in his kitchen while listening to James. His poems can be found in the books Cowboy Hat and You’re So Vain You Probably Think This Book Is About You.
