It is with regret that Northern Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) have decided that they have no option but to cancel their forthcoming production of Grease at Hull Truck Theatre which was rescheduled for April 2021.

A message from Janthi Mills-Ward, Executive Director of Hull Truck Theatre - "We are obviously disappointed that NAPA are unable to go ahead with their performance of Grease but we completely understand, due to current social distancing requirements it's not possible and fully support their decision. We look forward to welcoming them back to our stage again in the future."

A message from Carl Wheatley, Chief Executive of NAPA - "The current uncertainty surrounding the arts world and restrictions on rehearsal sizes and social distancing mean that it's virtually impossible to stage a full-scale musical with over 40 young performers at the moment.

We'd like to thank our students who have proved to be resilient and adaptable to the enormous challenges we're facing and to the team at Hull Truck Theatre who have supported us throughout this difficult decision.

If you have tickets booked for the show, please DO NOT contact Hull Truck Theatre Box Office, their team will be contacting all bookers directly.

NAPA is also a charity and like many arts organisations we're struggling to stay afloat. It would help us enormously if you'd consider donating any refunds back to NAPA. You can do this HERE.

With your continued support NAPA will survive - and we'll be back working with Hull Truck Theatre as soon as we can."
