BritishEgyptian singer Camille Maalawy and composer Tom Lawrence have been working with school children and community groups from across the city to create a series of songs themed around migration, connection and cultural identity.
Vulliamy Murray Bennett Trio: Factory Free-set
Stories of Hull, its people and history take centre stage as the trio collaborate with acclaimed writer and director Maureen Lennon. Freeform pieces explore unsung stories, dreams and experiences from within Hull’s factory walls in this work in progress.
James Rushworth: Trespass
Composer and producer James Rushworth’s Trespass is a new multimedia performance that documents the story of the 1932 Kinder Scout Mass Trespass . Improvised ambient and electronic music combines with live projections to give a new perspective on the right to roam.
