Technical Skills Training Programme

Ever thought about a career working as a theatre technician?

Want to learn lighting, sound and stage skills?

Register your interest for Summer 2018.

Hull Truck Theatre is launching a Technical Skills Training Programme in Summer 2018, offering skills workshops, formal training, site visits to event venues and learning from external speakers, all supported by our experienced, professional technical team.

The Programme provides preparatory training for a career in lighting, sound and technical and is aimed at addressing the skills shortage, both in Hull and the wider arts industry. Participants will be part of a pool of young people who can progress into apprenticeships, casual and freelance work across the growing number of arts and cultural venues in the Humber, retaining talent in our region.

We are particularly interested in applicants with protected characteristics that are currently underrepresented in the industry. Five bursary places are available, supported by NatWest.

Please fill in the form here to express your interest.

Applicants must be 18 or over and be available for three consecutive weeks,  commencing 6 Aug 2018. There is an optional fourth week paid placement.

All applicants will be considered for Bursary places.
