Work Experience

Are you interested in a career in Theatre but don’t know where to start?  Then Hull Truck’s Work Experience week is for you.

Theatre is not just about actors; there’s a whole world of other opportunities backstage.  Our work experience week will allow 8 successful applicants access to a broad range of theatre skills, from Technical Theatre and Programming, to Press and Marketing.

Applications are invited from students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13, with an interest in a future career in theatre.  (Please note that this is not an acting or performing opportunity!)

  1. Please fill in an Application form and Equality and Diversity Survey form and return to recruitment@hulltruck.co.uk by Mon 11 March 2019.  Your work experience starts here!  Applications will only be accepted from students, and not from parents/guardians acting on a student’s behalf.
  2. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take place in a recruitment workshop at Hull Truck Theatre on Thur 4 April 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
  3. Eight students will be selected to take part in the work experience week, starting on Mon July 8 2019.

Please be aware that demand for places is high, and we are unfortunately limited to eight places.  Due to capacity, we are only able to offer work experience during the week of 8 July. The date is non-transferable.
