First Thursday Theatre Club - Theatre History: Bertolt Brecht's Epic Theatre
First Thursday Theatre Club is a monthly drama session for adults aged 18 and over. The session welcomes people of all ages and levels of experience, offering a chance to learn, discuss, and be creative together.
Each month’s content is completely different, and participants are encouraged to take part in whatever way feels comfortable - whether you're a confident performer, a complete beginner, or someone who simply wants to join the discussion or observe.
Join Hull Truck Theatre’s Drama Worker, Joe Beckett, for a practical and discursive session exploring one of Europe’s most influential and important dramatists and directors: Bertolt Brecht.
During this session, you’ll learn about Brecht’s unique approaches to political theatre and consider how these methods might be applied to modern theatre-making.
The session runs from 10.30am - 1.30pm.
