Apples
based on the novel by Richard Milward
adapted by John Retallack
I kept losing sight of Eve
Occasionally I caught a glimpse of a
Swishing blonde ponytail
But apart from that
She was a bit of a mystery
Fuelled by an equal measure of drink, drugs, sex, and youthful exuberance, Eve, Adam, Claire, Gary and the rest are desperate to be enlightened. However once the apple has been bitten there is no going back. They soon find themselves spiraling out of control on the traumatic yet enticing road towards growing up.
Brutal, energetic and poetic, Apples is an unflinching ride through the desperation and beauty of teenage years.
