Confessions of a City Supporter
Details:
This updated revival of the ‘stand-up and laugh-aloud’ comedy that premiered in 2004 celebrates the Tigers’ first season in the Premier League and charts the ups and downs, slings and arrows, joy and tears of the beautiful game. It re-lives key moments from the team’s history since 1904, the dreams that turned to dust and the dreams that came true.
From generation to generation, Tigers fans learn the facts of life from an early age: the referee is always blind and City never loses on merit.
This revival relives that glorious day at Wembley, as well as London 0 Hull 4, and reveals the Sacred legend of Great-Grandad’s Cloth Cap that made it all possible.
BAFTA Award winning playwright, Alan Plater has been a dedicated City supporter since August 31st 1946 when the Tigers thrashed Lincoln City 0-0.
