TRUCKTACULAR ‘TALE-TELLING’ TO BEAT THE BACK-TO-SCHOOL BLUES!

Hull Truck Theatre has the perfect remedy to beat the back-to-school blues; the brand-new Autumn/Winter season of its smash-hit Saturday afternoon storytelling series, Truck Tales!

This explosive new selection of exciting Winter shows kicks off with the grand season premiere on Saturday 22nd September; when storytelling superheroes, The Trucktacular Truck Tales Gang, blast back on to the Hull Truck stage with Monster Jobs – a brand-new, action-packed show all about the wonderful world of work!

From Policemen to Pirates – Acrobats to Astronauts - the Gang promise an awesome afternoon of stories, jokes and silly shenanigans. Youngsters are also invited to bring something daft to put in their ‘Bonkers Briefcase’; bring an object for them to make a silly new story out of, or just bring a joke!

The sizzling new season features shows from some of Britain’s biggest and best storytellers, including Michael Dacre – back by popular demand with The Tale of Robin Hood on Sat 13th Oct – and the ever-popular ‘crazy’ Chris Bostock; back with more ‘tale-telling’ magic in the New Year! There’ll also be plenty of audience interaction at the shows, including a ‘Spooktacular Halloween dress-up parade’, a giant game of Chinese Whispers, and the chance to tell the Weather Forecast on stage!

The Truck Tales series is a firm favourite with families and children across the region, and has enjoyed record-breaking success since its launch back in 2004. The shows continue to attract sell-out audiences with each new season, and tickets for the forthcoming Autumn/Winter dates are being snapped up fast; so early booking is absolutely essential!
