FEAST YOUR SENSES AT THE HULL TRUCK AUTUMN FESTIVAL
(No tents required!!)
Monday 15th – Saturday 20th October 2007

The outdoors festival season may be well and truly over, but there’s plenty to look forward to at the 2007 Hull Truck Autumn Festival; the latest edition of theatre’s legendary bi-annual entertainment fest, kicking off on Monday 15th October!

The week-long feast of comedy, music and dance begins with an electrifying performance from the internationally-renowned music and dance company, Flamenco Express (Mon 15th, 8pm). Stirring the soul with their fiery footwork and sensual rhythms, they breathe fire into one of the world’s most powerful and passionate art forms, in an explosive show that is not to be missed!

This sizzling start sets the pace for a visit from notorious former drug-smuggler and MI6 Agent, Howard Marks here to present his new one man show, Señor Nice (Tues16th, 8pm) – followed by a mesmerizing performance from International Folk legend Eliza Carthy (Wed 17th, 8pm). The legendary comic poet, Ian McMillan, presenter of the hit Radio 3 show The Verb - aka “the John Peel of Poetry”, will be joined by Henwen - five of Yorkshire’s finest a capella singers – in the brand-new show In Happen (Thurs 18th, 8pm) – for what promises to be a rip-roaring evening of poetry and music!

The must-see for fans of fake moustaches comes in the guise of cult spoof world music band Mundo Jazz (Fri 19th, 8pm); “a sort of live, Latino Spinal Tap”, who preach peace, love and understanding with a hugely unsubtle mix of ridiculous songs, poetry and dancing!

Youngsters are in for a treat at the dazzling family spectacular, The Wishing Bridge (Sat 20th, 1pm); the latest touring adventure from the hugely-popular Moby Duck Theatre Co.; whose previous productions (including Granny Vampire and The Two Bum Bun) have all attracted sell-out crowds to Hull Truck. The Festival rounds off with top Australian comic and Triple Perrier Award nominee, Adam Hills (Sat 20th, 8pm); whose rampant spontaneity and unique style of stand-up will have you laughing all the way until next year’s event!….(Or at least until the Spring Festival!)

Tickets for all events are being snapped up fast, so early booking is an absolute must!
