What People Say about Truck on Tour

The Venues

"If there is a credit-crunch busting theatre company out there on the touring circuit, then it has to be Hull Truck. Audiences need well crafted, accessible humorous theatre at a time like this - and they will turn out in droves to spend their last tenner to see it.Keep ‘em coming!"

Ron McAllister, Chief Executive, South Hill Park Arts Centre, Bracknell

"Hull Truck have been regular visitors to the Theatre Royal for some years now. The shows are a breath of fresh air at a time when much of what we are offered seems to be on the 'classical' side of the repertoire. There is a loyal and devoted audience for Hull Truck's work and we only wish we could find more of the expertly produced and performed work that is the hallmark of this excellent company."

Colin Blumenau, Theatre Director, Bury St. Edmunds

"Hull Truck - one of our favourite haulage companies who regularly transport excellent small scale theatre all the way to North Devon"

Richard Wolfenden-Brown, The Plough Arts Centre

"Hull Truck Theatre Company is a National Institution. Innovative, accessible and entertaining audiences for more years than they would care to remember. They provide a rare and welcome Northern voice on the Country's stages - often imitated but never bettered - Hull Truck provide a guaranteed good night out."

Steve Cowton, The Lowry

"Theatre Royal Wakefield has been hosting Hull Truck for over 20 years, and their work forms a most important part of our annual programme."

Murray Edwards, Executive Director, Wakefield Theatre Trust

Hull Truck have always delivered a good night out to our audiences.

Jeremy Hartill, The Spa Bridlington

Square Chapel is absolutely delighted to be welcoming Hull Truck to Halifax in April 2010. Despite having welcomed touring companies from all over Britain to our very lovely 222 seater venue over the past 12 years, we have never had the good fortune to secure a show from Hull Truck.

Me and My Dad - Hull Truck’s brand new play is sure to create a lot of interest here in Halifax and we are looking forward to building a great working partnership with this fantastic company over the next few years.

Sally Martin, Director, Square Chapel Centre for the Arts

The Audiences

Dear Hull Truck
Last weekend I was in Hull and took the opportunity to come and see Bouncers at Spring Street before you move to your new venue. I don't get chance to come over the Pennines often and am really glad that you send out your touring productions to us in Lancashire.
I live in Rochdale and have seen you at Bolton, Oldham the Lowry in Salford and Bury.
I will one day come to see you at your new place.
Until then I will be watching for the productions near to my home.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you for entertaining the North.
A fan
Valerie Bracken
