Studying Godber

For schools/colleges studying or performing John Godber's work, Inter@ct offer workshops tailored to the exploration and performance of John Godber's early ‘style', including stylised theatre, multi-roleing, direct address and choral speaking .

It is important to remember that the Hull Truck ‘style' referred to in certain syllabi is not indicative of every piece of drama produced here at Hull Truck, more often it is in reference to the early John Godber plays Bouncers, Teechers and Shakers. Indeed John's later plays including Our House, Perfect Pitch and Salt of the Earth although maintaining an element of multi-role play are very natural in their make up and presentation.
