Hull Truck Youth Theatre gives young people the opportunity to experience the excitement, creativity and enjoyment that go hand in hand with drama and make lasting friendships in the process.
Youth Theatre workshops are open to anybody aged 7-21 years and interested in drama, acting and the theatre.
Youth Theatre sessions are an hour per week for a 10 week term at a cost of £30, payable on enrolment.
The next term starts in September - if you fill in an expression of interest form this will be kept on file until then.
Workshops take place:
7 - 10 year olds
Friday - 5pm (held at Beverley Longcroft)
Saturday - 3.15pm
11 - 14 year olds
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 5pm
Saturday - 10am, 11.15am, 2pm
15 - 21 year olds
Monday - 6pm
Tuesday, Thursday - 6.15pm
Wednesday - 5pm
Saturday - 12.30pm
These sessions look at all aspects of theatre including mask work, street theatre, improvisation, movement, script work, vocal work, multi-characters, stagecraft and technique, all aimed at boosting confidence, social skills, creativity, imagination, team building... the list goes on!

Productions
Our Youth Theatre perform two professionally-supported productions at Hull Truck Theatre each year, with past shows including Our Day Out, Marat/Sade, Quadrophenia, Alice in Wonderland and Fantastic Mr Fox.
These are professional shows performed are always a huge success! Performing in one of these shows is by no means easy, but it is certainly rewarding, heaps of fun and a spectacular start to your stage career!
