This is John Godber’s Adaptation of the Jules Verne classic “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” a musical which will Premiere at the award winning Hull Truck Theatre.

CHARACTERS TO CAST :
MALE
Professor Aronnax - Age – 50’s – Strong lead actor with singing experience to play charismatic and slightly deranged Professor/Adventurer. Essentially a narrator figure.
Young Aronnax - Age – Late 30’s – Strong Male with good singing voice. This is to play a romantic lead and calls for someone charismatic and dashing.
Nemo: - Age – 40’s – Strong enigmatic presence with good singing voice to play powerful but crazed.
FEMALE
Conseil - Age – Late 20’s – Female assistant to the professor. Romantic love interest who can be boyish but become more feminine. Strong singing voice needed. To play both sexy and tragic.
Madam Simone plus others - Age – Late 30’s – Female, French speaker if possible. Strong singer with musical experience essential. Accordian player preferred. To play provocative and sexy. Must be able to multi-role.
